The Isolite Downlight Guard is an Australian made fire resistant enclosure for Halogen, CFL and LED downlights.

Downlights are popular but can have costly consequences, such as ceiling-cavity fires, if they are exposed in the ceiling-cavity, overheat and come in contact with combustible material. An Isolite™ downlight guard provides a fully-approved fire-resistant enclosure for most downlights, by isolating the high temperature components of halogen downlights from timber, insulation, build-up and interference. It also allows you to avoid the large clearances required when installing insulation around downlights, thereby leading to better energy- and noise-control.

Isolite™ is made from high temperature resistant polymer and with correct installation, including the use of insulation, operates with a safe-to-touch temperature
