Board insulation
Board insulation, more commonly known as polyiso board, is a rigid insulation panel composed of a polyisocyanurate foam core bonded to a number of different substrates like fiber reinforced facer, foilfaced facer or oriented strandboard (OSB).
Polyiso board can be used for roof, wall, or floor applications.
Polyiso is lightweight and cost effective, and has superior thermal insulation properties. Find out more about why polyurethane is an excellent insulant.
Boardstock made with RUBINATE MDI and JEFFCAT catalyst consists of a uniform, closed-cell polyisocyanurate modified polyurethane foam core, bonded during the foaming process to fiber-reinforced facers, perlite, or wood fiberboard.
These laminates, along with additive technology, give polyiso an excellent balance of properties, which include high R-value, compressive strength, rigidity, moisture resistance, and flammability characteristics that meet required standards.
Polyiso (polyisocyanurate) foam board is among the most energy-efficient construction products. It is qualified to be used when FM Class-1 and UL Class A construction is mandated.
It is also compatible with many proven commercial roofing applications, such as single-ply roof systems, modified bitumen, and built-up roofing.
