Steel strapping is most commonly used to bundle and secure together heavy loads during transport or even storage. If steel strapping isn't used for these heavy loads then they are at risk of becoming dislodged and potentially dangerous when breaking out of the restraints. Consider wooden logs, large industrial rolls of plastics or heavy pallets for example. Steel strapping kits have been put together for you so that everything you need is already bundled together. They are sold in different width steel straps to suit different breaking strain requirements.

Each steel strapping kit includes:

• 1 x roll of steel strap (either in 12.7mm width, 15.9mm or 19mm)
• 1 x box for metal seals (1000 per box)
• 1 x steel strap tensioner - used to tighten and tension the strapping around the goods
• 1 x sealer - which is used to seal the metal seals around the steel strapping
• 1 x metal A-frame dispenser - which holds the roll of metal strapping and allows easier dispensing of the strap

Steel / Metal strapping kits are available:

• 12mm steel strapping kit (12.7mm x 0.4mm x 250m - with a breaking strain of 543Kg)
• 15mm steel strapping kit (15.9mm x 0.45mm x 200m - with a breaking strain of 629Kg)
• 19mm steel strapping kit (19mm x 0.56mm x 180m - with a breaking strain of 893Kg)

An additional tool that doesn't come in the kit but is also supplied by Get Packed is a steel strap cutter tool or a strap feeder to assist with feeding the strap under pallets.
