Argus heating pads, unlike other silicone pads on the market are 8mm thick and can be placed in rough environments or ones where there is potential for more wear and tear than usual.  They will provide a relatively gentle heat in low temperature conditions.  Applications include:

• to prevent moisture build up in enclosures and switch boxes;
• to maintain warmth in vulnerable cabinets;
• to maintain warmth on hoppers;
• to provide warmth on cold mornings at start up on machines and pumps.

Silicone rubber pads are constant wattage heaters and very easy to install, generally using high temperature RTV sealant but in selective situations can be attached with metal tie downs on non-flat surfaces.  Should an over temperature safety cut-out be required, a simple 'Otter' thermostat can be placed in-line.

Argus Heating silicone pads are available in sizes of 50mm x 25mm, 150 x 75mm, and 225 x 75mm, wattages from 10A to 90A and voltages 24V, 230V and 415V.  Custom sizes can be made to order in a thinner but still robust 3mm silicone rubber.
