AbdexHoses & Couplings

Established in 1974 in the UK Abdex Hose & Couplings Ltd has progressively evolved into a leading specialist manufacturer of high and low pressure hose assemblies. During the 1970s, 80s and 90s, Abdex predominately supplied the commercial vehicle industry with low and medium pressure Goodyear rubber hose assemblies and accessories.

Large volumes of air brake, power steering, cab tilt and clutch pipe assemblies were supplied to the leading British manufacturers of Heavy Goods Vehicles. In 1999 Abdex expanded into new markets using high pressure thermoplastic hose. Since then, Abdex has become a volume producer of assemblies for the beverage, 700 bar hydraulics and water jetting markets.

In 2005 Abdex started working with Parker Hannifin and soon became a major specialist distributor for Parker Polyflex products in the UK & Europe. In 2006, we were certified by Parker to assemble their ultra high pressure hoses with working pressures up to 40,000psi (2800bar). Also in 2005, Abdex Industries in Melbourne Australia was established to service the growing customer base in Asia and Australia in the mining and offshore industries. Today they manufacture and distribute high and ultra high pressure hose assemblies up to 3000bar, together with stainless steel fittings and adaptors.
