Long Stroke Displacement Sensor
Bestech Australia Pty Ltd introduces the EDS series long stroke displacement sensors from Micro-epsilon, Germany. These are designed especially for use in hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders, for the displacement and position measurement of pistons and valves. A coil and micro-electronics are integrated in the sensor housing.
The sensor elements of the EDS series are protected by pressure resistant stainless steel housing. The sensor electronics and signal conditioning are completely integrated in a sensor flange.
An aluminium sleeve is used as a target, which is integrated into the piston rod and is passed without making contact and wear-free over the sensor rod. EDS long-stroke sensors are factory calibrated and thus ready for use.
Sensor characteristics:
• Shock: 100g radial, 300g axial
• Measurement ranges 100…630 mm
• Measures without contact and is wear-free
• Output signal 4…20mA
• Integrated micro-electronics
• High pressure resistance
• Oil resistant and maintenance-free
• Short offset ranges
Due to the non-contact rugged design of the long-stroke displacement sensors, they have proven themselves not only through their integration in hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders, but also under other harsh industrial conditions for displacement measurement. They also find applications in the high vibration environments of stone crushers and mobile cranes.
This long stoke displacement sensor is available in Australia and New Zealand from Bestech Australia Pty Ltd
