Submersible load cell FN4074 from Bestech Australia Pty Ltd
Bestech Australia introduces submersible load cell FN4074, manufactured by FGP, designed to measure the tension on submarine mooring lines.
How to measure the tension on submarine mooring lines? How do underwater cables react to water flow? This submersible load cell has been expressly designed by FGP Sensors’ specialist engineers to solve these problems. The mechanical design of this load cell enables easy attachment of the load cell to the cable material and fixing adapted to underwater conditions. It allows for independent operation of this load cell in total immersion.
These are a few characteristics which distinguish this submersible load cell from standard models. This under water load cell is made to measure tension loads up to 100 kN, with an accuracy (linearity and hysteresis) of 0.5% full scale. The sensor is made entirely out of stainless steel and offers an IP68 level of protection at 100 bar.
Powered by rechargeable batteries and integrated signal-conditioning electronics, the sensor provides a direct high level signal of 4 Vdc full scale. Thanks to its autonomy, it is possible to observe cable tension during a full 24-hour period in an underwater environment.
Some important features of this under water load cell are:
Range Full Scale: 100 kN
Linearity & Hysteresis: <±0,5% FS
Safe Over-range: 2 x FS
Signal Output F.S: 0.5 to 4.5 Vdc
Excitation: Internal rechargeable battery (24 hour operation)
Protection: IP68 – 100 Bar
The underwater load cell FN4074 is available in Australia and New Zealand from Bestech Australia Pty Ltd
