Grimwood Heating, Australia's leading electrical heating product manufacturer has extended the range of their IECEx certified heaters for use in potentially explosive atmospheres.
The new type 1705-3S certified flameproof enclosure now allows Grimwood to provide an economical solution for small heating loads in either single of three phase configurations and is ideally suited for heating applications with liquids in either static or flow conditions and gas pipeline applications.
Designs are available in either painted carbon steel or stainless steel, and with the special requirements of recessed fixings to meet the needs of Group I for the mining industry. For other industries the unit is certified to Group IIB + H2 T3 to give maximum flexibility for users. All units have an ingress protection rating of IP66/67 allowing installation in the most challenging of environments.
For high temperature applications, the enclosure can be protected with radiation shields to limit the temperature rise in the enclosure.
The 1705-3S flameproof enclosure is ideally suited to heating applications using DN40 (1 ½ inch) up to DN80 (3 inch) ANSI flanges in ratings from class 150 to class 2500 with test pressures up to 20MPa.
