VOAC bent-axis piston motors use the highly successful spherical piston/socket and ring gear timing pioneered by Volvo Hydraulics.
This arrangement permits a light-weight, low inertia piston which does not require the efficiency loss of a hydrostatic balance system.
It also allows a high axis angle which contributes to the excellent mechanical efficiency of the design.
Randall Hydraulics has worked with Volvo/VOAC hydraulic products for many years, both in design of new applications and in servicing and trouble-shooting existing systems.
