DROSSBACH, a global leader in plastic corrugated pipe machinery are the proud recipients of the 'Successful Innovations' award in the Top 100 - nationwide corporate benchmarking competition, held in Germany. The competition is organised by Compamedia GmbH, who specialise in organising benchmarking projects.
Drossbach develops and manufactures pipe systems and machinery for making corrugated pipes for use in the waste-water, rain-water, drainage and cable protection sections. They use a clearly defined innovation strategy called Corrugated Pipe Solutions (CPS) that was analysed by the judges to determine how the innovation increased earnings.
Their CPS strategy brings together the technical expertise of engineering and corrugated pipe manufacturing, two previously autonomous divisions. The company views innovation management as a means for systematically planning, developing and implementing ideas for customer focused problem solving.
To qualify for the award, companies had to undergo a stringent two stage process, so their innovative capabilities could be assessed.The judges were particulalry impressed by Drossbach's corporate strategy, believing that this promoted innovation within their organisation.
Drossbach is represented in Oceania by HBM Plastics & Packaging Technologies.
